Dear Friends & Family,
We hope this letter finds you well as you settle into
preparations for this heart & hearth warming time of year.
Recently, an amazing
opportunity for Jessica and I to see God move powerfully in India arose. One of
our elders at Vanguard is a native of India and her mother, Laveena, continues
to oversee a very powerful ministry there, called New Hope Ministries. We feel
God leading us to travel with a team and offer support, but not your typical
support. ;)
Will we be helping widows
and moms by teaching them valuable money making skills? Yes.
Will we be blessing
children through teaching God’s truth and having fun? Yes.
Will we be reaching out
to the poor and sick in tangible ways? Yes.
Will we be releasing
powerful kingdom principles to local ministers?
Yes.
So, you may be asking
yourself, “What’s not typical?”
Well, we will also be
doing non-stop power evangelism, whether it is in a formal meeting or in our
travels to the markets and gas stations. Power evangelism is the simple concept
that as believers we can heal the sick, lame, blind, deaf, cast out demons and raise
the dead (yep, I just said that), all through the power of Jesus (Matthew
10:8). And, once He has “introduced” Himself, we offer people the opportunity
to know Him forever more. Not only are lives changed DRAMATICALLY, but the
local church also grows!
Another detail that needs to be
mentioned, is that India is not very open to Christianity. Where we are going
is more “open” than most other areas, but it is still a very intense fight to
see the love of Jesus and the power of Holy Spirit transforming families and
villages. Please consider putting us on your daily prayer list, leading up to
the trip and while on the trip. It will be an intense spiritual battle.
We are asking you to
partner with us in several ways:
First and foremost is
prayer. We will need as much covering as is possible before, during, and after
the trip. Because we will be aggressively going after territory claimed by the
devil we anticipate resistance. Please, I implore you, keep us in your prayers
daily. WE NEED IT!
Second, We need to raise
$4,000 in a very short period of time. Please consider sowing into what God is
going to do in India!
